What to do for high fever and chills?

My son has a very high fever and is shivering a lot since morning. He's feeling very weak. What can we do to bring the fever down and help with the chills at home?

High fever and chills means your body is fighting something serious. Absolutely no exercise right now, your body needs all its energy to recover. Focus on complete rest and staying hydrated with ORS. Once you're fully recovered and the doctor clears you, then you can slowly get back to light walks.

High fever and chills are not to be taken lightly. You need to see a doctor immediately. Take paracetamol for fever as per dosage, stay hydrated, and rest completely. Do not self-diagnose or rely on home remedies. Get professional medical advice to rule out serious infections.

Please, please don't ignore high fever and chills. I once did, thinking it was just a regular viral, and it turned out to be dengue. It got quite bad. Get yourself checked by a doctor right away, don't wait for it to get worse. Early diagnosis makes a huge difference.

Oh my god, high fever with chills is just the absolute worst. I totally get how awful and utterly drained you must be feeling. It's so hard to even move. Just focus on resting, staying warm, and sipping on warm liquids or ORS. And definitely get checked by a doctor; your body needs professional help right now.

High fever with chills can be a sign of a serious infection and can lead to complications if not treated properly. I've seen situations where people waited too long, and it resulted in prolonged recovery. It's critical to see a doctor immediately to get a diagnosis and the right medication. Don't delay.

High fever and chills, that means your body is fighting hard. Don't be scared, but take it seriously. Keep yourself warm with blankets, sip on warm water or soup. Our elders always said to rest completely. But in today's time, it is best to consult a doctor, they can tell you if it's a common viral or something more.

I've dealt with high fever and chills a few times. First, take a paracetamol tablet (as per dosage) to bring down the fever. Then, focus on hydrating with ORS or coconut water. Stay warm but don't overbundle. And most importantly, get to a doctor the same day. It could be something requiring antibiotics or specific care.
