What to do about sagging skin after weight loss?

I've lost quite a bit of weight recently, which I'm very happy about! But now I'm noticing my skin isn't as firm as it used to be, especially around my arms and stomach. My mother-in-law mentioned it, and I'm feeling a bit self-conscious. What can I do?

Honestly, diet plays a huge role here. Make sure you're getting enough protein, even if you're vegetarian like me. It helps with skin elasticity. Also, staying super hydrated is key – drink lots of water throughout the day.

Please be careful with all the advice online. Sagging skin can be tricky, and what works for one might not work for another. It's always best to consult a dermatologist or your doctor for a proper assessment and personalized recommendations, rather than trying random remedies.

Oh, this is something I've been researching too! It's a common concern after losing a good amount of weight. I've heard about collagen supplements but not sure if they actually work or if it's just marketing hype. Anyone tried them?

From my experience at the gym, consistency with strength training really helps. Building muscle mass can fill out some of that loose skin. And yeah, focus on whole foods, avoid processed stuff, and keep your protein intake high. It's a long game, for sure.

My doctor actually mentioned that slower weight loss can help minimize sagging. He also suggested certain exercises that build muscle underneath the skin, which can improve its appearance. For severe cases, sometimes medical procedures like skin tightening treatments are options, but that's a last resort.

For anyone, especially if you have health conditions like diabetes, it's very important to manage weight loss gradually and sustainably. Rapid weight loss can sometimes make skin sagging more pronounced. Focus on a balanced diet and regular, moderate exercise that suits your health, and always check with your doctor.
