What test is used for tb screening?

My chacha ji has been coughing a lot lately, aur unko bukhar bhi rehta hai shaam ko. Someone in the family said it might be TB. Which test do doctors usually do to check for that?

Hey, no need to worry, TB screening is pretty straightforward. The most common tests are the Tuberculin Skin Test (TST), also known as Mantoux test, or a blood test called an IGRA (Interferon-Gamma Release Assay). A chest X-ray might also be done. Just talk to your doctor, they'll tell you which one is best.

For TB screening, they usually do a skin test (Mantoux) or a blood test (IGRA)! 💉 Sometimes a chest X-ray too. Don't worry, it's a common checkup! 😊

Yaar, TB screening ke liye mostly Mantoux test karte hain, woh skin wala. Ya phir blood test hota hai, IGRA. Actually, it's quite common now, so don't worry too much. Just go see a doc, they'll sort it out.

For TB screening, they usually do a skin test (Mantoux) or a blood test like IGRA. My doctor always stresses on regular health checks, not just for BP, but overall health. Early detection is key for many conditions, including TB.

It's totally okay to feel a bit anxious when thinking about health screenings. For TB, they mostly use a skin test, the Mantoux test, or a blood test called IGRA. Sometimes a chest X-ray too. Just consult a doc, they'll guide you through it patiently.

TB screening is very important, please don't neglect it. For safety, always get it checked if you have symptoms or exposure. Doctors generally do a Tuberculin Skin Test (Mantoux) or a blood test called IGRA. A chest X-ray can also confirm. Better to be safe than sorry.

For TB screening, it's either a Mantoux skin test or an IGRA blood test. If anything suspicious, they'll follow up with a chest X-ray. Get it done, no big deal.

Oh, I remember panicking about TB screening once! But it's actually quite routine. They usually do a simple skin test (Mantoux) where they inject a small amount and check it after 2-3 days. Or a blood test called IGRA. Don't stress, it's just a checkup.

It can be emotionally tough to even think about something like TB. For screening, they typically do the Mantoux skin test or an IGRA blood test. Sometimes a chest X-ray is needed. Remember, it's okay to feel whatever you feel, and getting tested is a brave step.

From what I know, when my colleague had to get screened, they did a Tuberculin Skin Test (Mantoux test). It involved a small injection and then checking the spot after 48-72 hours. Only a doctor can tell you for sure based on your situation.
