What temperature is considered a fever for a newborn?

My sister just had a baby last week and the little one feels a bit warm to touch. We're getting worried, so I wanted to know at what temperature we should consider it a fever for a newborn and call the doctor.

Newborn babies are so delicate, haan na? My bhabhi always used to say ki anything above 100.4 F (38 C) rectally is a fever. Best to call the doc right away if it goes up even a little.

For a newborn, fevers are serious. My doctor always stresses that for such young ones, any temperature over 100.4°F (38°C) needs immediate medical attention. Don't wait for it to get higher, just consult a pediatrician.

This is a really important question for newborns. From what I remember from my friend who's a new mom, doctors consider anything around 100.4°F (38°C) rectally as a fever for them. It's always best to be super careful and contact the pediatrician right away.

Oh, newborn fevers are so scary! My cousin's baby had a fever recently, and the doctor said 100.4 F (38 C) taken rectally is the threshold for newborns. Always better to get them checked by a doctor quickly, just to be safe.

For such a tiny baby, it's very different from adults. While we might try some home remedies for ourselves, for a newborn, if the temperature is 100.4°F (38°C) or above, you absolutely must see a doctor, no delay. They are too fragile for self-treatment.

It's so normal to be anxious about a newborn's health, especially fever! For babies under 3 months, a rectal temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher is usually considered a fever and needs immediate medical attention. Please don't panic, but do get them checked by a doctor quickly.

Time is key with newborns. If your baby's rectal temperature hits 100.4°F (38°C) or higher, call your pediatrician immediately. Don't waste time looking for home remedies; professional advice is critical.

For newborns, even a slight fever is a concern. Usually, 100.4°F or 38°C (rectal) is the point when you should definitely consult a doctor. Stay calm and get medical advice.
