What supplements help with fatty liver?

Just got my reports back and I have fatty liver. The doctor said I need to make lifestyle changes, but I also heard some supplements can help. Does anyone know which ones are good for fatty liver?

Good question, I've wondered about this too. Milk thistle is something I've heard good things about for liver health generally.

Hey, so for fatty liver, apart from meds, my doc suggested Omega-3s and Vitamin E. There are some good apps too that track your diet and give suggestions for liver-friendly foods. Consistency is key!

Oh, this is a common issue na. My aunt had it. She was told to focus on eating healthy, like lots of greens and less oily food. For supplements, definitely check with your doctor first, don't just take anything!

Haan na, fatty liver is a bit tricky. My neighbor had this. She said her doctor told her to take some specific vitamin tablets, but it was all tailored to her case. Better to ask your own doc, ho na?

It's tough when you get this diagnosis, I know the feeling. The emotional part is real. Just remember to be kind to yourself and work closely with your doctor. Small changes make a big difference over time.

If you have fatty liver, especially if it's related to metabolic issues like diabetes, controlling sugar intake is super important. My doctor always says diet is primary, supplements are secondary. Don't fall for quick fixes.

If you're going to a good hospital, make sure to ask your treating physician directly about specific supplements. They often have specific guidelines. Don't be shy to ask for a clear list of what's good and what to avoid.

Yo, my uncle had this. His doc put him on some meds and told him to cut out all junk food, like completely. He also took some multivitamin, but that was after his doc recommended it. Don't just pick one yourself.

Please, please, before taking ANY supplement, consult your hepatologist or a good general physician. What works for one person might not work for you, or could even be harmful. Don't self-medicate.

Uff, one more thing to worry about, as if back pain and BP weren't enough! Honestly, my doc just said walk more and eat less fried food. And avoid all those fancy detox teas, they're mostly a waste of money.

Hi, I'm new to knowing about this, what exactly is fatty liver caused by? And are there specific foods that are really bad for it? Just curious to understand better.

Being vegetarian, I always focus on whole foods. For fatty liver, cutting down on refined carbs and added sugars is huge. Lots of fibrous veggies, fruits, and lean protein sources are far more beneficial than any supplement alone.

Just take it one day at a time, beta. Your body is a temple, so treat it with kindness. Stay positive, listen to your doctors, and remember that good health is a blessing. Everything will be okay.

For fatty liver, exercise is a game-changer! My trainer always says even a brisk 30-minute walk daily can make a huge difference, provided your doctor clears you for it. Supplements can help, but lifestyle changes are foundational.
