What supplements are good for joint pain?

My knees have started bothering me quite a bit, especially when I walk up stairs. My neighbour mentioned some supplements that helped her joint pain. What supplements are good for joint pain, generally?

Honestly, supplements like Glucosamine and Chondroitin are popular for joint pain, but their effectiveness varies a lot person to person. Omega-3 fatty acids also get recommended for their anti-inflammatory properties. Best to talk to your doc before starting anything, especially if you're on other meds.

Same here, I've tried so many things! For me, regular light exercise, like walking or cycling, along with turmeric milk at night, has helped more than any supplement. Supplements can give a temporary relief but lifestyle changes are key. Also, try warm compresses.

Please be careful with supplements, yaar. I took some over-the-counter ones for my knee pain without checking with a doctor, and it messed with my stomach badly. Some can interact with other meds or even worsen certain conditions. A proper diagnosis from a doctor is super important first.

Beta, joint pain needs attention. My mother used to say warm oil massage with mustard oil and garlic works wonders for temporary relief. For supplements, I've heard some people talk about ashwagandha but always check with a vaidya or doctor. Balanced diet with calcium-rich foods is also very important.

Definitely agree with consulting a doctor first. Proper diagnosis helps target the right issue instead of just guessing with supplements.

Supplements can get quite expensive, and honestly, sometimes the cheaper ones don't even have enough active ingredients. Before spending on them, maybe get some basic blood tests done? Sometimes low vitamin D or B12 can also cause aches. Don't want to waste money if the root cause is something else.

It's so confusing with so many options out there. I've been feeling this dull ache in my knees sometimes after walking for long. Does anyone else get this? I'm worried about what to take.

Hi everyone. I'm new to this. My dad has some joint pain. Are there any natural supplements that are generally considered safe even if they don't cure completely? Like something to just help manage it a bit?
