What std causes cervical cancer?

My gynaecologist mentioned some infections can lead to cervical cancer, and I'm worried. Which STD is known to cause cervical cancer?

Honestly, I didn't know much about this until recently. A friend of mine got tested for HPV, and that's when I learned it's a common STD that can cause cervical cancer in women. Guys can carry it too, just something to be aware of. Better safe than sorry, I guess.

It's so scary to think about these things, na? I remember feeling really anxious when I first heard about HPV and its link to cancer. It's totally valid to feel worried, but getting information and talking to a doctor really helps calm those fears. You're not alone in feeling this way.

See, my doctor always emphasizes regular check-ups, not just for my thyroid but for everything. For cervical cancer, HPV (Human Papillomavirus) is the main culprit. Pls make sure to consult a gynaecologist and get your regular screenings done. Early detection is key, just like with any health issue.

Hey there! 😊 So the main one linked to cervical cancer is HPV, or Human Papillomavirus. It's super common! But good news is there's a vaccine for it, and regular screenings can catch any issues early. So don't stress too much, just be informed! ✨

Namaste! This is a really important question. The Human Papillomavirus, or HPV, is the primary cause of cervical cancer. While it's an STD, many people have it without knowing. The best way to protect yourself is through vaccination and regular Pap smears. Please don't hesitate to talk to your doctor about it.

Cervical cancer is largely caused by certain types of Human Papillomavirus (HPV). It's a sexually transmitted infection. While knowing this is important, please remember that not everyone with HPV develops cancer. Regular screenings and vaccination are key preventive measures. Always consult a medical professional for accurate advice.

Health anxiety is so real, and questions like this can definitely trigger it. It's good you're asking. Yes, HPV is the main one linked to cervical cancer, and it's super common. The good news is there's lots that can be done for prevention and early detection, so don't let the fear stop you from getting information from a doctor.

Been there, understood that. HPV, the Human Papillomavirus, is the primary link to cervical cancer. What I learned is that regular pap tests are non-negotiable for women, and the HPV vaccine is a game-changer if you're in the right age group. Talk to your doc, they'll guide you best.

Yaar, I remember when I first heard about STDs and cancer, I totally panicked. Then I found out HPV is very common, and most times your body clears it on its own. Only certain types, if persistent, can lead to cervical cancer. It's scary to read about, but a doctor can explain it better and clear your doubts.

Oh, I'm also wondering about this. I've heard about HPV. Is it possible to have HPV and not know about it? And how often should one get tested for it? Thank you for asking this question.
