What skin cancer really looks like?

My neighbor recently had a spot on his skin that turned out to be cancer. I'm trying to be more aware myself; what does skin cancer actually look like?

Yaar, skin cancer can look like so many different things, actually. It's not just one type. Could be a new mole that changes, or a sore that doesn't heal, or even a weird red patch. The main thing is if something on your skin looks different or is changing. Best to get it checked by a dermatologist ASAP, don't ignore it.

For skin issues, especially anything suspicious, it's very important to see a dermatologist quickly. My child once had a strange mole, and the doctor told us about the 'ABCDE' rule for checking moles (Asymmetry, Border, Color, Diameter, Evolving). If anything looks off, please get it checked. Don't delay.

It's hard to describe exactly what skin cancer 'really looks like' because there are different types, and they present differently. It could be a new growth, a sore that won't heal, a change in an existing mole (uneven borders, changing color, growing in size), or a persistent red/scaly patch. The key is any change or unusual appearance on your skin. A dermatologist is the right person to evaluate this.

Dude, I had a weird spot on my arm once, and my mom made me go to the skin doctor. He said skin cancer can look like anything from a small, shiny bump to a dark, irregular mole. The main thing he stressed was if anything changes or bothers you, just show it to a doc. Better safe than sorry.

I really regret ignoring a persistent rash once, thinking it was just a normal skin irritation. It turned out to be something more serious that needed treatment. So, if you're asking this, it means you've probably noticed something. Please, for your own sake, go and show it to a dermatologist. Don't try to self-diagnose from pictures online; a professional eye is needed.
