What side is kidney stone pain?

My brother just got diagnosed with kidney stones, and the pain he described sounds really bad. I'm wondering, which side does kidney stone pain usually hit? Just trying to understand it better.

The pain can happen on either the left or right flank of your lower back, depending on where the stone is. I had severe complications and high fever because a stone got stuck in my ureter, so please see a doctor immediately if the pain is unbearable.

Kidney stone pain is usually felt on the left or right side of your lower back, and it can move down toward your groin. Please drink plenty of water and seek medical attention if the pain is severe.

I completely panicked when I got a sudden, stabbing pain on my right side, thinking it was an appendicitis burst or something. It turned out to be a small 4mm kidney stone that passed naturally with lots of fluids. Take a deep breath, get an ultrasound, and don't panic.

In my years, I have seen many people suffer from this sharp pain on one side of the lower back. It can be terrifying because of how sudden it is, but don't worry, modern treatments and drinking lots of water can resolve it easily. Just get a proper doctor to guide you.

I have dealt with kidney stones twice, and the pain is a sharp, agonizing wave on either the left or right side of your back, which can also travel to your lower abdomen. My best advice is to get an ultrasound immediately to check the stone size and stay extremely hydrated.

The pain occurs on whichever side the stone is located, either the left or right lower back, and it can be extremely intense. When my brother experienced this, we took him to Max hospital right away to get a pain relief injection and a proper scan. Ask your doctor clearly about the best treatment plan.
