What side is kidney located?

My friend was just telling me about her kidney stones and it got me thinking. I'm actually not sure where our kidneys are even located in the body. Can someone tell me?

We actually have two kidneys, one on each side of the spine, just below the rib cage in your lower back. I had a kidney infection that got complicated because I ignored the back pain, so please see a doctor if you are feeling any severe ache there.

You have two kidneys, located on both the left and right sides of your spine in the lower back area.

I have been feeling a strange, dull ache on the right side of my lower back and I am so anxious that it might be my kidney. Do kidney issues always feel like a backache, or has anyone else felt this due to simple muscle strain?

Our beautiful body has two kidneys, placed gently on both sides of our spine in the back. Keep your body hydrated by drinking clean water, stay positive, and take good care of your health.

The kidneys are located on both sides of your backbone, right against the back muscles of your upper abdomen. The right one is actually positioned slightly lower than the left one to make room for your liver. If you are experiencing pain on either side of your lower back, it is best to get a routine urine test done.

Haan na, many people think we only have one kidney or that it is on just one side. Actually, they are on both sides of the lower back area under our ribs. If you are having a dull ache on either side, please check with a doctor.
