What side is best to sleep on when pregnant?

I'm pregnant with my first child, and sleeping has become a challenge. Everyone says different things about the 'best' position. Which side is truly best to sleep on when pregnant for both me and the baby?

My grandmother always insisted I sleep only on my left side, but I checked with my gynaecologist to be sure. She confirmed that sleeping on the left side is indeed best because it improves blood circulation to the baby. But she also said not to panic if I roll over to the right side occasionally.

Left side is generally considered the best and safest during pregnancy to help with blood flow. Try to use a few pillows to keep yourself comfortable, and don't worry too much if you shift in your sleep.

I used to wake up in the middle of the night crying because I found myself sleeping on my back or right side. My doctor reassured me that it is completely normal to move around and won't hurt the baby. Just try to start on your left side and use a pregnancy pillow to block yourself.

Sleeping on the left side is wonderful for the baby's health and gives your body rest. Keep a peaceful mind, listen to some gentle music before sleeping, and take care of your health. God will bless you and your little one.

Sleeping on your left side is the best during pregnancy to assist your circulation. Since I have thyroid issues, I also had to balance this with regular blood tests and medication adjustments. Always follow up closely with your doctor to make sure all your health parameters are monitored.

My sister is pregnant right now and she literally lives on her left side with like five different pillows around her. She says the doctor told her left-side sleeping is the best for the baby's nutrition. It looks like a pillow fortress but it works!

When my wife was pregnant, we had to be very careful because of her high blood pressure. The doctor strictly advised her to sleep on her left side to ensure optimal blood flow and keep her BP stable. Make sure you are also getting your pressure checked regularly during your checkups.

Sleeping on the left side is highly recommended as it keeps the pressure off your liver and improves flow. You can keep a soft cotton pillow between your knees for comfort. However, if you feel any severe pain, swelling, or dizziness, please consult your doctor immediately.
