What side do you feel a heart attack?

My elderly aunt recently had some health issues and we were discussing heart attack symptoms. She got confused about which side of the body typically feels the pain during a heart attack. Can someone clarify this for us?

Most people feel the discomfort in the center or left side of the chest, but it can also spread to the neck, jaw, or left shoulder. Since I have high BP, my doctor told me to never ignore such symptoms. Regular checkups are a must to monitor your cardiovascular health.

In my sixty-six years, I have seen many friends go through this. Sometimes it is a heavy pressure right in the middle of the chest, and sometimes it goes down the left arm. Don't panic, but if you feel such heavy pressure, tell your family and let them take you to a doctor immediately.

Please don't trust WhatsApp forwards or random online forums saying left side pain is the only sign of a heart attack. It can feel like pressure in the center or even the upper abdomen. Go verify with a qualified cardiologist at a hospital if you are experiencing this.

While my child only has a minor congenital valve issue that we monitor, the doctors always educate us on emergency signs. Heart-related pain is usually in the center or left side, often radiating to the left arm. It is always best to be practical and have an emergency hospital number saved on your phone.

I completely understand how terrifying it is to feel any chest sensation and worry it is a heart attack; I used to get bad panic attacks that felt just like it. True heart attack pain is usually a crushing pressure in the center or left side. If you are in doubt, please get an ECG done to put your mind at ease.

Haan na, people often get confused about which side it happens. Actually, it is mostly felt in the center or left side as a very heavy pressure, not just a simple pain. If anyone is feeling breathless along with this, we should rush them to the clinic without waiting.

I am not a doctor, but when my neighbor had a heart attack, he complained of a heavy, squeezing feeling right in the center of his chest that spread to his left arm. He also broke into a cold sweat. Based on that, we didn't wait and took him to the hospital immediately.

Managing my diabetes means I have to be very careful with cardiac health, as diabetic people sometimes have silent heart attacks. The pain can be a dull pressure in the center of the chest or left side, or sometimes almost no pain at all. Please get regular cardiac checkups and consult your specialist immediately if you feel off.

Sometimes heavy acidity from a late-night mutton biryani can feel like left-side chest pain, but a real heart attack is usually a very heavy pressure in the center. If it feels like a heavy weight and you are sweating, it's not gas. Put down the spicy food and go straight to the emergency room.

My father went through this, and he felt a severe squeeze right in the middle of his chest, which then moved to his left shoulder and jaw. It wasn't just a sharp pain on one side. If you are feeling this kind of heavy, suffocating pressure, please call for help immediately.
