What should type 2 diabetes blood sugar be?

I have Type 2 diabetes and sometimes my sugar levels are all over the place. What should my target blood sugar range be with Type 2 diabetes? I want to make sure I'm managing it well.

I have been living with type 2 diabetes for over fifteen years now. Usually, doctors want your fasting to be between 80-130 mg/dL and post-meal to be under 180 mg/dL. Don't panic if it fluctuates slightly sometimes, just stay consistent with your medicines and daily walk.

The target is generally 80 to 130 fasting, and below 180 after eating. I manage mine strictly through a fiber-rich vegetarian diet, avoiding white rice and refined flour. However, please consult your doctor to set your specific targets, as they can vary with age.

Managing type 2 sugar levels means trying to keep it under 180 after meals, which is so hard when you love sweets as much as I do! I've had to replace my gulab jamuns with sugar-free alternatives and small portions. It's a daily battle, but keeping track helps.

Haan, standard range to fasting mein 80-130 aur khane ke baad under 180 honi chahiye. Par har kisi ki body alag hoti hai na, toh apne doctor se ek baar confirm kar lo. Zyada tension mat lo, regular walks se kaafi control ho jata hai.

My father was just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes yesterday and we are quite worried. I read that fasting should be around 80-130 mg/dL. Is it normal for these levels to go up if he is feeling stressed or anxious?
