What shampoo is good for dandruff?

My husband has been struggling with dandruff for ages, and nothing seems to really help. His shoulders are always flaky. Can anyone suggest a shampoo that's actually good for stubborn dandruff?

Many good suggestions here! Anti-dandruff shampoos with zinc pyrithione or selenium sulfide are usually effective.

Dandruff can sometimes be more than just dry scalp, it could be a fungal infection or seborrheic dermatitis. So, while anti-dandruff shampoos are a good starting point, if it persists, please get it checked by a dermatologist. Don't let it go untreated.

For dandruff, you need a targeted shampoo. Look for ingredients like Ketoconazole, Zinc Pyrithione, or Selenium Sulfide. Use it consistently as directed, usually 2-3 times a week. If no improvement, see a dermatologist for a stronger solution or diagnosis.

I battled with stubborn dandruff for ages! What finally worked for me was a shampoo with Ketoconazole, prescribed by a dermatologist. I tried so many commercial ones before that, but this one actually cleared it up. Consistency is key, use it regularly for a few weeks.

Forget those fancy smelling shampoos. For real dandruff, you need medicated ones. Look for Head & Shoulders, Selsun, or Nizoral. Use it properly, massage your scalp, leave it for a few minutes. If it doesn't go, see a doctor, don't waste time.

Hello, I'm new here and also have dandruff. So, these medicated shampoos, are they available easily in stores or do we need a doctor's prescription? Are there any natural ingredients in them too?

Dandruff is the worst! Makes your scalp feel all... not fresh. While I'm all for good food, for dandruff, you need specific ingredients like Zinc Pyrithione or Selenium Sulfide. It's like finding the right spice for a dish, you know?

For dandruff, seek balance in your life and also for your scalp. A gentle, effective shampoo that addresses the root cause is beneficial. Maintaining hygiene and a calm mind also contributes to overall well-being, which reflects in hair health. Stay positive.

Ugh, dandruff is so annoying! I've found that rotating between different anti-dandruff shampoos helps me, especially ones with salicylic acid or zinc. Also, making sure your scalp isn't too oily or too dry can make a difference. It's all about finding what works for *your* scalp!

From a health perspective, keeping your scalp healthy is as important as your diet. For dandruff, mild anti-dandruff shampoos with active ingredients are better than regular ones. Also, ensuring enough hydration and vitamins in your diet can contribute to overall scalp health.

Please don't ignore dandruff. I did once, thinking it was minor, and it turned into a bigger scalp issue. Start with a good anti-dandruff shampoo with zinc or selenium. If it doesn't clear up in a few weeks, seriously, go to a dermatologist. It's not worth the regret.

Oh, dandruff! It's so annoying and sometimes makes me anxious about how my hair looks. Has anyone else felt like some shampoos make it worse before it gets better? I've found Ketoconazole shampoos work, but I always worry if it's the right one.
