What salad dressing is good for diabetics?

My father is diabetic and he loves salads, but my mother is worried about the dressings. What kind of salad dressing can he have that won't spike his sugar levels? We usually use creamy ones, but I know those aren't good.

Haan na, salad dressing mein bhi kitni hidden sugar hoti hai! Simple lemon juice with a tiny bit of olive oil and some black pepper is always a safe bet, ho na? Flavour bhi achha aata hai.

For diabetics, it's best to stick to very basic dressings. I always recommend apple cider vinegar with a touch of mustard and herbs. Avoid anything creamy or with added sugars, even if they say 'diet'.

Beta, for salads, you don't need fancy dressings. Our traditional raita can also work, but without much salt and sugar. Or just a bit of fresh dahi, phaint kar, with some jeera powder. Light aur digest hone wala hona chahiye.

I completely understand the worry about every little thing we eat with diabetes. It feels like a constant check. For dressings, I find that just a splash of good quality olive oil with a squeeze of lime works wonders. Keeps it simple and safe.

Hey! Great question. My friend who has diabetes uses a homemade dressing. She mixes Greek yogurt (plain, unsweetened) with grated cucumber, a bit of garlic, and mint. It's super refreshing and healthy too.
