What's the longest someone has gone without sleep?

I'm a student and sometimes I pull all-nighters for exams, but I feel terrible the next day. I wonder how long someone can actually go without sleep. What's the longest someone has gone without sleep that's been recorded?

Oh my god, just thinking about this makes me anxious! I can barely function after one restless night. Does anyone else get super paranoid about not getting enough sleep? Like, I heard about people hallucinating, that's just terrifying.

Honestly, after pulling all-nighters for exams, I feel like I've competed for this record myself. The actual record is something like 11 days, I think. But trust me, after 24 hours, your brain turns into mush, you start seeing things, and everything is just foggy. Not fun, would not recommend, need coffee now.

My friend in college pulled an all-nighter for 3 days once, for some hackathon. He was literally seeing things and talking nonsense by the end. The record is something crazy, like 11 days or something, right? But dude, that's just stupid, your brain totally fries. Not worth it for any grade or project.

The longest officially recorded time is around 11 days. But it's very dangerous and can cause severe health problems. Sleep is essential for our well-being.

My grandmother always said, 'sleep is medicine.' Going too long without it is very harmful. I believe there was a record of someone going about 11 days without sleep, but it caused severe physical and mental issues. This is not something to try. If someone is struggling with sleep, they should consult a doctor, not try to break records.

There are claims of people going over 11 days, but honestly, pursuing such feats is extremely detrimental to health and definitely not something to romanticize. Lack of sleep can cause serious cognitive and physiological damage. Don't believe everything you read about 'superhuman' endurance without scientific backing. If you have chronic sleep issues, a doctor is the only reliable source of help.

Wow, 11 days sounds impossible! But after how many days without sleep does it actually start becoming really dangerous for your body and mind? Like, when should someone really get medical help if they can't sleep?
