What precautions for tb?

Someone in my building was recently diagnosed with TB, and now I'm a bit worried about precautions. My family is asking about it. What precautions should we take for TB to prevent it from spreading?

Honestly, TB is no joke. I had a severe case and it took months to recover fully, with some long-term lung issues. Please, if you suspect anything or have been exposed, get yourself checked by a good chest specialist immediately. Don't self-diagnose or delay.

I totally get why you'd ask, it's scary. For general immunity and prevention, I tried a lot of things - ginger-garlic shots, haldi milk every night, good ventilation. But if it's already there or you're high risk, these are just supportive, the real treatment is from the doctor only, haan.

Oh, TB is a very concerning thing to think about. I totally get why you're asking. The best precaution honestly is just staying healthy in general, eating good food, and not neglecting any persistent cough or fever. Early detection is really important for this.

My family doc always stresses on basic hygiene for preventing any airborne diseases like TB. He said covering mouth while coughing/sneezing, proper ventilation in living spaces, and avoiding overcrowded, poorly ventilated places are key. Also, nutrition plays a big role in immunity. Get tested if you have a persistent cough.

TB precautions? My main precaution is avoiding anyone who coughs dramatically in public without covering their mouth! Jokes aside, basic stuff like hand hygiene and not sharing personal items is pretty good. And maybe not live in a super cramped space, if you can help it. Stay safe!

I always worry about these things, especially with so many people around. Is it really true that if your immunity is strong you won't get it easily? Sometimes I feel a slight cough and then overthink it. Anyone else feel this way, or am I just being paranoid?

For good lung health and strong immunity, I always recommend pranayama. Anulom Vilom and Kapalbhati everyday can strengthen your respiratory system. It's not a cure, but it surely helps in building resilience from within, mera anubhav hai. Always consult a doctor too.

Okay, so for any illness, my first thought is 'what can I eat to feel better?'. For TB prevention, I think it's about making sure your body is strong enough to fight it off. So, lots of fresh fruits and veggies, and ghar ka khana. No junk food binges, sorry to say!
