What percentage of type 2 diabetics take insulin?

My doctor just told me I might need to start insulin for my type 2 diabetes. I've always managed with tablets. I'm wondering how common this is; what percentage of type 2 diabetics eventually go on insulin?

It's not uncommon for Type 2 diabetics to eventually need insulin, especially as the disease progresses or if oral medications aren't enough. It's a tool to keep blood sugar stable and prevent complications, so don't see it as a last resort.

Beta, the need for insulin in Type 2 diabetes is a part of the disease's natural progression for many, and it's nothing to be ashamed of or worried about. It's about keeping your body healthy. Listen to your doctor, they know best what your body needs.

Yaar, if your doctor says insulin, don't feel bad about it. It's just another way to manage diabetes and keep you healthy. It doesn't mean you failed or anything. Just follow the doc's advice and chill.

Agar dawa ki zarurat hai, toh usko lene mein koi sharam nahi. Shareer ko swasth rakhna sabse bada dharm hai. Mann mein shanti rakho aur apne aapka dhyaan rakho, insulin se bhi jeevan acha chalta hai.
