What percentage of smokers get lung cancer?

My husband has been smoking since he was young, and now his breathing is getting worse. Our family keeps telling him to stop because of lung cancer. What percentage of smokers actually end up with lung cancer?

Just like how I manage my diabetes carefully with diet and exercise, smoking is a choice that drastically increases health risks. Lung cancer is one of the biggest fears. It's not about a fixed percentage, it's about reducing *any* risk to your body.

Dekho, smoking is dangerous, period. Percentage kitna bhi ho, why take that risk? Apni health apne haath mein hai. Chhod do cigarette, life lambi aur healthy rahegi.

For me, fitness is about holistic health, which definitely means no smoking. Lung capacity, endurance, everything goes down. The risk of lung cancer is definitely higher, so it makes sense to avoid it entirely and focus on good diet and exercise instead.

The long-term medical costs for smoking-related illnesses, including lung cancer, are huge. So not smoking actually saves you money in the long run, not just on cigarettes but on future hospital bills. It's a practical choice for your finances and health.

It's a high percentage, anyone who smokes regularly is putting themselves at a huge risk. The science is clear on this. Best advice is to quit, simple as that.
