What percentage of smokers get cancer?

A friend of mine who smokes just got diagnosed with cancer, and it's made me think a lot about the risks. What are the chances of a smoker getting any type of cancer? Trying to understand the real danger here.

Yaar, this makes me so worried. Does anyone know if even passive smoking has a very high risk too? My uncle smokes and I'm always scared for him and for us around him.

The exact percentage varies a lot depending on how long and how much someone smokes, and also other lifestyle factors. But the fact remains, smoking is a major cause of various cancers. Best thing is to avoid it completely, for your own sake and your family's.

Bete, main toh yahi kahungi, cigarette chhod do. Body ko andar se clean rakhne ke liye dher sara paani piyo, achha khana khao. Lekin agar koi serious problem lag rahi hai, toh doc ke paas zaroor jaana, gharelu nuskhe har jagah kaam nahi aate.

It's not just cancer, smoking affects BP, heart, everything. For health, it's essential to avoid it completely. Regular checkups are important, especially if you have a history of smoking or other lifestyle issues like high BP.

Cancer, BP, heart attack... I swear, sometimes I think I'm gonna get something just from reading about it! But seriously, if you smoke, just quit. It's one less thing to worry about when you're already sleep deprived from work.
