What percentage of rem sleep is normal?

I've been trying to improve my sleep quality, and I read something about REM sleep being important. I'm not sure if I'm getting enough. What percentage of REM sleep is considered normal for an adult?

Honestly, focusing too much on exact REM percentages can be really stressful, I went through that phase. Sleep is so complex. Sometimes just getting enough uninterrupted sleep is more important than chasing a number, mentally it was very draining for me.

My sleep tracking app usually shows my REM as 22-24% on good nights, but sometimes it's lower. I've heard different things about what's 'normal'. For me, the main thing is whether I feel rested. Can't give medical advice, but that's what my experience has been.

Don't stress too much about the exact numbers, little sister. Most adults usually get between 20-25% REM sleep, but it can vary night to night. What's more important is how you feel when you wake up – refreshed ya tired? If you're consistently feeling low, maybe talk to a doc once.

I ignored my bad sleep for so long, thinking it's normal to feel tired. Turns out my sleep cycle was really disturbed. Please, if you're concerned about your REM or any sleep issues, get a proper checkup. Don't make my mistake of waiting till it gets worse.

Hey, generally REM sleep should be around 20-25% of your total sleep. For me, regular exercise really helps improve my sleep quality, including REM. Maybe try adding a good walk or some light yoga during the day, if your doc says it's okay.

Oh, I was just looking into this! My sleep doc told me 20-25% REM is the healthy range for most adults. Mine was super low for a while and I felt so groggy. After fixing my sleep schedule and reducing screen time, it's finally back in that range, and I feel so much better.

Dekho bhai, typical range is 20-25% for REM sleep for healthy adults. But sleep trackers are not always 100% accurate. If you are worried, simple way is to focus on good sleep hygiene: fixed bedtime, dark room, no phone before bed. These basics usually sort things out.
