What percentage of patients with diabetes develop foot ulcers?

My husband has diabetes and he's always been told to be very careful about his feet. He got a small cut recently and it's taking ages to heal, which made me worried. What percentage of patients with diabetes actually develop foot ulcers?

It's a significant concern for diabetics, definitely. I track my blood sugar and daily steps with my app, and my doc always stresses foot care. The percentage can vary, but it's high enough that every diabetic should be vigilant. Check your feet daily!

Foot ulcers in diabetes are very common and can lead to expensive treatments, even amputations. Prevention is key here. Regular foot check-ups are cheaper than treating an advanced ulcer. Invest in good diabetic footwear too, it's worth it.

Haan ji, yeh bahut serious problem hai diabetes mein. My uncle had this issue. Percentage high hota hai kyunki nerve damage ho jaati hai na. Toh, roz pair check karna, sahi shoes pehna, yeh sab bahut important hai. Carefull rehna chahiye.

It's a serious risk for diabetics, no doubt. My trainer always emphasizes proper footwear and daily foot checks for anyone with diabetes. Regular walking helps circulation, but always make sure your shoes are comfortable and don't rub. Exercise is good, but foot care is paramount here.

I've read that it's a significant percentage, unfortunately, due to nerve damage and poor circulation from diabetes. So, managing blood sugar well is super important. It's a reminder that even small things, like daily foot inspection, can prevent big complications. Stay proactive.

Similar to high BP, diabetes requires constant management and vigilance. Foot ulcers are a very serious complication. My doctor always says consistent blood sugar control and regular foot checks are non-negotiable. Don't take it lightly.
