What percentage of men get kidney stones?

My brother just had a really painful episode with kidney stones, and now he's really worried it will happen again. We were talking about how common they are. What percentage of men are likely to get kidney stones at some point?

Yaar, actually, it's quite common for men. I've heard like 1 in 10 men get them at some point. My uncle had one, and he said the pain was unbearable! So drink lots of water, guys, seriously!

This is a good concern. Kidney stones are quite prevalent in men, and the treatments, even small procedures, can be expensive. So, having good health insurance is very practical. Also, prevention is cheaper, so drink water and control diet.

My dad got a kidney stone last year, and it was a whole ordeal. The doc said men are more prone to them than women. He had to drink a lot of water and was told to cut down on some specific foods. It's not rare, dude.

Oh man, kidney stones sound terrifying! I heard the pain is worse than childbirth. Has anyone here actually had them? I'm always worried about it because I don't drink enough water. What does it feel like?

I've heard many men suffer from this. My dadi used to say lots of water and lemon juice helps. But if someone is in severe pain, please, don't just rely on home remedies. Go to a doctor immediately, because stones can be very serious.

Ugh, my college roommate got one last semester, and he was in so much pain! The doctor told him it's pretty common for guys, especially if you don't hydrate enough. So yeah, it's not a small number, definitely drink your water!
