What percentage of breast biopsies are cancer by age?

My friend, who is a bit older, had a breast biopsy and it's making everyone in our group a bit nervous about getting checked. What percentage of breast biopsies are cancer by age? Does the risk increase as you get older?

Hi! I had a breast biopsy done when I was 35. The doctor explained that cancer risk does increase with age, but even then, most biopsies are benign. For younger women, it's often fibroadenomas or cysts. Mine was just a cyst. So don't panic without the report.

Oh man, I remember panicking like anything when my wife had a scare. We thought the worst! But turns out, the biopsy was benign. Our doc said it's less common for biopsies to be cancer in younger people, though it's still possible. Older age does increase the chances a bit, but still, many are clear.

I have thyroid issues, and I know how important regular check-ups and follow-ups are. With breast biopsies, yes, age can be a factor, but a biopsy is the definitive answer. Don't rely on general percentages; get a clear diagnosis from your doctor and discuss your specific case.

Ho na, age ke saath risk thoda badhta hai, par biopsy is for confirmation. Mere cousin ki aunty ko hua tha, 50s mein, aur unka bhi negative aaya tha. So, chances are still good it's nothing serious. Just listen to your doc, okay?

Listen, trying to find exact percentages by age online can be misleading and cause unnecessary stress. Everyone's case is different. Don't trust random stats; only your doctor can tell you what your specific biopsy results mean. Always verify with them.

Beti, these days so many things are detected. Don't worry too much about percentages. What matters is what your body says. Eat good, healthy food, maybe some haldi doodh. But for the biopsy, doctor's word is final. Get it checked properly.

It's super important to get checked, especially if you find anything suspicious. While cancer risk usually goes up with age, it's not a guarantee. My aunt had a biopsy in her 60s, and it was benign. So, it's not just about age, but also what the actual cells show.

For something as serious as this, always get clarity from your doctor at a reputable hospital. They have the data and can explain how age influences the results. Don't speculate based on general info. Ask them directly about your specific biopsy.

Beta, the mind plays a big role in healing. Stay positive, no matter what the numbers say. Focus on taking good care of yourself, body and soul. Leave the rest to God and your doctors.

This question makes me so anxious! I always wonder about these statistics. Does anyone else feel like the older you get, the more every little ache or lump feels like 'the big C'? How do you manage the worry while waiting for results?
