What percent of smokers get lung cancer?

My uncle, who smoked his whole life, recently got diagnosed with lung cancer. It's really upsetting, and it made me wonder, how many smokers actually get lung cancer?

I've heard the numbers are pretty high, which is why people are always warned about smoking. It's a really good question to ask, to understand the gravity of the risk.

The statistics are quite stark, which is why I always advocate for healthy lungs. Exercise, like running or even brisk walking, can help improve lung capacity, but nothing beats avoiding smoking completely to prevent such a serious disease.

It's a sad reality that smoking increases the risk significantly. 😔 But remember, quitting at any stage can reduce your risk! It's never too late to choose health. 💪

Look, it's a very real and high risk. If you know someone who smokes, tell them to stop. It's one of the biggest factors for lung cancer. Take care of yourself, this is one habit to avoid completely.

I totally get why you'd be asking this, it's a really important concern. The risk is significant, and it's a harsh reality that many smokers face. It really underlines the importance of quitting or never starting.
