What percent of people get skin cancer?

I spend a lot of time outdoors for my work, and I'm always told to wear sunscreen, especially because of skin cancer risk. It made me curious, how common is skin cancer really? What percentage of people get it?

Skin cancer can be very tricky because it often looks like a normal mole or spot. Don't rely on online pictures to self-diagnose. If you notice any changes in moles, new growths, or anything suspicious on your skin, the only smart thing to do is get it checked by a dermatologist. Verify, don't guess.

My dermatologist actually gave me a lot of information about this recently because I have a lot of moles. She said that while a certain percentage of the population will get some form of skin cancer in their lifetime, it's often highly treatable if caught early, especially basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas. She emphasized wearing sunscreen daily, even indoors, and doing regular self-checks.

Hmm, skin cancer... not something I usually think about when I'm busy figuring out what to eat next, haha! But on a serious note, protecting your skin from the sun is important. Maybe I should swap my outdoor pani puri cravings for indoor ones sometimes. Good reminder to wear sunscreen, even when I'm just running errands!

I had a weird spot on my arm for years that I just kept ignoring. Thought it was just a sunspot. When I finally showed it to a doctor, it was pre-cancerous! Luckily it was caught in time. Please, please don't be lazy about checking your skin or showing a doctor anything unusual. It's not worth the risk.

Aiyo, skin cancer can happen to anyone, ho na? Especially with so much sun here in India. My aunt always tells me to put on sunscreen, even when I am just going to the market. Small changes on skin, like a mole changing colour, we should show it to doc. It's important to be careful, haan.

I track my sun exposure on my fitness app, and it's crazy how much UV we get even on cloudy days. Skin cancer is actually more common than people think, especially if you spend a lot of time outdoors or have fair skin. My app reminds me to wear sunscreen, and I check my moles regularly using a mirror. Tech helps keep tabs on it.
