What percent of kids struggle with mental health?

My son's school counsellor mentioned that many children are facing mental health challenges these days, and it got me thinking. I want to be aware of how prevalent this issue is. What percentage of kids generally struggle with mental health?

This is very sad to hear. Our children are going through so much these days. In our village, we try to talk to them, keep them busy with games and studies. Sometimes just listening with love can make a big difference for their young minds. Let's make sure they feel safe to talk.

Children's minds should be happy and light. If they are struggling, it means something is bothering them deeply. We should make sure they eat well, get enough sleep, and spend time playing outdoors, away from screens. Sometimes simple changes at home can bring big comfort, but if it's too much, it's good to seek wise counsel from elders or doctors.

This is so true, I see so many younger cousins and kids struggling with pressure from school, social media, everything. It's a big percentage, honestly. It's important to create an open space for them to talk without judgment. Even small things like taking them out for a walk or just listening can help.

It's a worrying trend, for sure. But when it comes to kids' mental health, please be very careful about information online. Don't just pick up any remedy or advice. Always, always verify with a pediatrician or child psychologist. Their growing brains are delicate, and we can't take risks.

The statistics are quite high globally, and India is no exception, unfortunately. It's a significant issue that needs more awareness and destigmatization. While supportive environments and good parenting help, for serious cases, professional medical and psychological help is paramount. Always consult with a qualified specialist for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan for children.

Honestly, a lot. The competition, social media, peer pressure, it's all so intense now. I know so many friends who felt overwhelmed even in school. We need to normalize talking about feelings, not just grades. It's a big deal, yaar.

It's heartbreaking to see your child struggle. My son went through a tough phase with anxiety because of school stress. We found that talking openly, getting him involved in extracurriculars he loved, and eventually therapy, made a huge difference. Don't dismiss their feelings, they are real and need our attention.
