What parasite causes diabetes?

My father has had diabetes for a long time, and I heard some people saying that a parasite can cause it. Is this true? I'm worried about my own health.

To be direct, diabetes is not caused by a parasite. It's a metabolic disorder. Type 1 is autoimmune, and Type 2 is usually lifestyle-related, involving insulin resistance or insufficient insulin production. Please get your information from reliable medical sources.

Beta, don't worry about parasites causing diabetes. This is an old misunderstanding. Diabetes is about how your body handles sugar, often runs in families or comes with our modern lifestyle. Focus on healthy eating and exercise, that's what truly helps.

As a vegetarian and someone who focuses on diet for health, I can tell you diabetes is more about what you eat and how active you are, not some parasite. Eating balanced meals, cutting down on processed foods, and regular walks make a huge difference. Don't believe such myths.

I'm not a doctor, so can't give medical advice. But from what I've seen in my family and friends, diabetes is usually linked to diet, exercise, and sometimes it runs in the family. Never heard of a parasite causing it. If you're worried, best to speak to a medical professional.

Hmm, actually, there's no parasite that causes diabetes. I track my health stats on apps, and all the reliable info points to genetic factors, diet, and lifestyle for Type 2. If you're concerned, talk to a doctor, they can give you accurate info based on science.
