What pain reliever can i take with xanax?

I take Xanax sometimes for anxiety, and I have chronic knee pain that flares up. I'm always cautious about drug interactions. Can you tell me what pain reliever I can safely take with Xanax?

Oh, mixing medications, this always makes me so worried! Xanax already causes drowsiness for many, so adding other drugs is really something to be cautious about. My first thought is always to contact the doctor who prescribed the Xanax. Don't take a chance.

I was also on Xanax for a while and had a bad headache. My doctor specifically told me to stick to paracetamol (acetaminophen) only. NSAIDs can interact, and you definitely don't want anything that might increase drowsiness or other side effects of Xanax. Just call your doc!

My friend was on Xanax for a bit, and his doctor told him to avoid pretty much everything else without asking. Mixing meds can get really complicated and dangerous. Just call your doc, man, don't risk it.

With central nervous system depressants like Xanax, caution is paramount when adding other medications. NSAIDs might have some interactions, but generally, paracetamol is considered safer. However, the definitive advice should always come from your prescribing physician.

I totally get it, when you're dealing with anxiety and then pain on top of it, it's so draining. But with Xanax, certain painkillers can really heighten side effects or interact badly. Please, consult your doctor or a pharmacist for the safest option.

Xanax and random painkillers? Sounds like a recipe for an unplanned nap in a very inconvenient place, haha! On a serious note, please don't experiment. Your doctor knows best how to keep you both pain-free and awake (or asleep safely!).
