What nuts are bad for thyroid?

I have a thyroid condition and my doctor advised me to watch my diet. I like having nuts as snacks, but I'm concerned if some might interfere with my thyroid. Are there any specific nuts that are bad for thyroid health?

My family often discusses health and diet. For thyroid, I've heard that some people with Hashimoto's (an autoimmune thyroid condition) avoid peanuts because they are legumes and might cause inflammation. Also, too many Brazil nuts are sometimes mentioned due to high selenium, but this is general talk. Always trust what your doctor says.

From a fitness perspective, nuts are generally great for healthy fats. But with thyroid, especially autoimmune types, some people avoid peanuts because of potential inflammatory effects. Also, Brazil nuts are rich in selenium, which is good, but too many can be toxic, so just a couple is fine. Balanced intake and a good workout help.

When my relative had thyroid issues, the hospital's nutritionist advised caution with certain nuts. Specifically, too many Brazil nuts can cause selenium overload. And some people with autoimmune thyroid conditions choose to limit peanuts. It's best to discuss your specific thyroid condition with your doctor or a hospital dietitian for clear guidance.

It's so tough when you have thyroid issues and then feel like you have to cut out even healthy foods like nuts. I get it. Some people with autoimmune thyroid problems limit peanuts. And too many Brazil nuts can be an issue because of very high selenium. It feels like a lot to navigate, but you're not alone.

For thyroid, especially if it's an autoimmune condition like Hashimoto's, some people find that peanuts (which are legumes) can be inflammatory. Brazil nuts are great for selenium, but too many can lead to selenium toxicity, so moderate intake. Overall, it's about listening to your body and specific medical advice.

Oh, I didn't know nuts could be bad for thyroid. I thought they were all healthy! Are some nuts like peanuts or soy nuts problematic because they are legumes, or is it something else? What about walnuts? I hope it's not too complicated to figure out.

It's completely normal to feel anxious about every food item when you have thyroid issues, I've been there. Generally, most nuts are good, but some people with autoimmune thyroid might find peanuts problematic. Also, Brazil nuts are super high in selenium, so just one or two a day is enough, don't overdo it. Small steps, don't worry.

Yo, my mom has thyroid and her doc told her to not eat too many Brazil nuts, like just one a day is enough because of selenium. And some people say peanuts are not great for thyroid but that's more for autoimmune stuff. So like, mostly it's fine, just don't go crazy on Brazil nuts.
