What not to eat with kidney problems?

My husband has been having some kidney issues lately and the doctor told him to watch his diet. I want to make sure I'm not cooking anything that's bad for him. What food items should we completely cut out?

My uncle had kidney issues. Doctor told us to cut down on salt big time. Also, processed foods, anything in packets or cans, are generally high in sodium and phosphorus, which are bad. Ghar ka khana, simple dal-roti is always best.

Honestly, my cousin had kidney problems, and the doctors gave a very specific diet plan based on her test results. I can only share that she was told to avoid certain fruits and vegetables too, like bananas and oranges because of potassium. Best to check with a specialist.

For kidney issues, naturally, too much protein is not good, and definitely avoid too much salt. Try to eat fresh food, lots of water. But for specific restrictions, especially if it's a diagnosed problem, a doctor or a good dietitian is a must. Don't take chances with kidneys.

Oh, this sounds serious. Is it like, even healthy things like whole grains or pulses need to be restricted sometimes? I heard something about protein being a concern too, but I'm not sure. Hope you find the right info!

Haan ji, kidney problems mein na, sabse pehle salt kam kar do. Aur packaged food, soft drinks toh bilkul nahi. Proteins bhi thoda control karna padta hai. Doc se proper diet chart le lo, wahi sabse best hai.

Being vegetarian, I usually focus on fresh veggies and fruits. But with kidney problems, even some of those need to be limited, like spinach or tomatoes due to potassium. Protein from dals also needs to be controlled. It's tricky, so tailored advice is essential.

When my mother-in-law first got diagnosed, I panicked so much about her diet. I thought she wouldn't be able to eat anything! But actually, with guidance, it's manageable. They mostly told her to watch salt, potassium, and phosphorus. It's not as scary once you know the plan.
