What not to eat after vomiting?

Last night I had a bad stomach bug and vomited a lot. Today I'm feeling a bit better but really hungry. My grandmother said not to eat anything heavy, but I need to know what foods are definitely off-limits right after vomiting to avoid making it worse.

After vomiting, it's best to avoid heavy, spicy, oily, or very acidic foods. These can irritate your stomach further. Also, dairy products might be a no-go for a bit as they can be hard to digest. Stick to bland foods initially.

I once ignored vomiting and ate a huge biryani. Big mistake, ended up feeling even worse. So, don't eat anything heavy or spicy. And if the vomiting persists or you feel very weak, please get it checked by a doctor, don't just brush it off like I did.

After vomiting, it's good to avoid anything that feels heavy or strong in taste. Just give your stomach some rest. Plain food is best for a while.

As a diabetic, I have to be extra careful. After vomiting, I'd say don't eat anything with high sugar content, even if it seems easy to digest, as it can spike your levels. And definitely no heavy carbs or fats. Stick to bland, low-sugar options, and check your blood sugar often.

I've always wondered about this too! So, definitely no junk food or super rich curries, right? My mom always says just rice and curd, or khichdi. Seems like the common advice is to avoid anything heavy or irritating.
