What not to do with spinal arthritis?

My mother has spinal arthritis, and she's always in some discomfort. We try to be supportive, but we're not always sure if we're guiding her correctly. What specific actions or postures should she absolutely avoid to prevent worsening her spinal arthritis?

Spinal arthritis can be tricky, the tests and treatments cost a lot. So, to save money and pain, avoid any heavy lifting or bending and twisting of your back. Also, don't ignore the pain, thinking it will go away, that might lead to more expensive treatments later.

As someone who deals with chronic conditions, I know how important it is to be careful. For spinal arthritis, I would say don't try any extreme stretches or exercises without consulting a physiotherapist. And please, don't self-medicate for the pain, it's safer to get a doctor's opinion.

It's really tough to deal with spinal arthritis, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. What I learned is to not blame yourself or push yourself too hard. Don't compare your pain tolerance with others. And please, don't try to self-diagnose or self-treat based on random internet searches. Get professional help, it makes a difference.

Spinal arthritis, ugh. My back feels like a rusty gate sometimes. Don't try to be a superhero and lift heavy fridges, okay? Also, no pretending you're twenty and doing backflips. And for heaven's sake, don't ignore the pain, it's not going to politely go away on its own!

Hi there! For spinal arthritis, it's really important to avoid high-impact activities like running or jumping, and definitely no heavy weightlifting that strains your spine. Also, prolonged sitting or standing in one position can make it worse, so take regular breaks. Always consult your physio, they're the best guide for movements.

My dear, with spinal arthritis, it's important to take care of your body and mind. Don't let negative thoughts weigh you down. Physically, avoid any movements that cause sharp pain, and don't neglect gentle exercises suggested by your doctor. Staying calm and consistent helps a lot.

For spinal arthritis, apart from movements, I'd say avoid foods that can increase inflammation in the body. Like too much sugar or highly processed stuff. But for physical 'don'ts', definitely no heavy impact activities like jumping or running without proper medical advice.

Hey! 👋 With spinal arthritis, definitely don't do any sudden twisting motions or heavy lifting without proper form and guidance. And no sitting in one position for ages! Keep moving gently. Stay positive! ✨
