What not to do after a tb test?

My cousin just had a TB test done because she's starting a new job, and now she's super worried about what she should avoid doing. Can anyone tell me what things you definitely shouldn't do after getting one of these tests?

Haan na, that test spot on your arm is very sensitive. Bilkul scratch mat karna even if it itches, and don't apply any band-aid or cream on it. Just keep it clean and dry until the doctor checks it again after 48 hours.

Bhai, us spot par bilkul khujli mat karna, haan? If it gets red, don't worry, but don't apply any soap or cream there. Sabse important, do din baad doctor ko dikhana mat bhoolna, nahi toh test waste ho jayega.

When I got tested at Fortis, the nurse strictly told me not to scratch, rub, or cover the injection site with a bandage. Any irritation can mimic a positive result. Always ask your clinic coordinator for clear instructions on how to care for the test site.

Make sure you don't scrub or rub the test area while bathing! 🧼 Also, try to avoid putting any tight sleeves over it. Just let it be so the doctor can read the result accurately in a couple of days! 😊

I totally get it, that little bump on your arm can feel super itchy and annoying. But try your best not to touch it or put any soothing lotions on it. Messing with it might mess up the test reading, so hang in there for just a couple of days!
