What neutralizes acidity?

I often suffer from acidity, especially after eating spicy food. My mother always tells me to drink milk, but sometimes that doesn't help much. What substances or foods generally help to neutralize acidity in the stomach?

For acidity, people often talk about home remedies like baking soda or cold milk. But if you have chronic acidity, please don't just rely on random internet remedies. It's important to see a doctor to rule out any serious underlying issues. Self-treating can sometimes mask bigger problems. Verify with a doc.

I sometimes get a burning feeling after eating spicy food. Does plain water help? Or like, what kind of simple things can neutralize it at home?

Dude, for acidity, sometimes just cold milk works for me. Or like, a tiny bit of baking soda mixed in water, my mom swears by it. But if it's super bad, then obv doctor. Don't wanna mess with your stomach, ya know?

Ah, acidity! The bane of our spicy Indian diet. 😂 Cold milk, a small piece of jaggery (gud), or even some saunf (fennel seeds) after food usually does the trick for me. If that doesn't work, there's always the classic Eno! But if it's too frequent, then it's doctor time, not just home remedies.

I've heard that baking soda in water neutralizes acidity because it's alkaline, but it tastes so bad! Also, cold milk or a banana is supposed to help. I'm just curious about the science behind it, how these common things work.

Acidity, my old nemesis! 😂 For a quick fix, some plain old cold milk or a banana can be your tummy's superhero. If you're feeling brave, a tiny pinch of baking soda in water also works, but be warned, it's not a Michelin-star beverage! If it's a regular issue, though, your doctor is the real VIP.

When acidity troubles you, simple things like a glass of cold milk or a little jaggery can bring calm. It's a reminder to eat mindfully and with peace. If it persists, seek guidance from a doctor, as our physical well-being supports our inner peace. Stay positive and listen to your body.
