What measures liver function?

My doctor asked me to get some tests done to check my liver function. I don't really understand what these tests measure exactly. What are the common indicators or tests used to measure how well the liver is functioning?

Hey! Don't worry too much, but for liver function, doctors usually check a set of blood tests called LFTs – Liver Function Tests. They look at enzymes like SGOT (AST), SGPT (ALT), alkaline phosphatase, and also bilirubin and albumin. It gives a good overall picture.

Beta, when we used to get unwell, the first thing doc would check is liver and kidneys. For liver, they do these blood tests, LFTs. My father always told me to eat simple food and drink plenty of water to keep the liver healthy. These tests show how well it's working.

Yaar, for liver, it's mostly about a blood test called LFT, liver function test. They check a bunch of things like SGOT, SGPT, bilirubin. My uncle had some issues, and actually, the doc kept track of these numbers closely. Also, sometimes an ultrasound if they suspect anything.

They do a Liver Function Test (LFT) from your blood, bro. That’s how they check if your liver is okay. My doc did it for me when I had some stomach issues. It shows the enzymes and other stuff, pretty straightforward.

Liver function is key for overall health! They check it with LFTs, which are blood tests. Besides that, maintaining a good diet and regular exercise, even just brisk walking, can really support liver health. Of course, if something is off in the test, listen to your doctor.

Liver function is primarily assessed through a series of blood tests collectively known as Liver Function Tests (LFTs). These include measuring levels of liver enzymes (like ALT, AST, ALP), bilirubin, and albumin. It’s crucial to consult a doctor to interpret these results accurately as various factors can influence them.

My friend just got his liver checked after a lot of late nights. The doc told him about LFTs. It's a blood test where they check for like, enzymes and stuff that show how well the liver is doing its job. Pretty common, I guess.

See, for liver, the main thing is an LFT test. Liver Function Test. They take your blood, check enzymes like SGOT, SGPT, bilirubin. If those are high, then there's an issue. But don't panic, doc will tell you what's what.

My daughter had some health issues, and her pediatrician regularly checked her LFT (Liver Function Test) levels. These blood tests monitor enzymes like ALT, AST, and also bilirubin. They give a clear picture of liver health. For children, it's always important to follow the doctor's exact instructions and not delay any tests.

Ah, the liver! Our body's silent superhero and detoxification plant. They usually send a tiny sample of your blood to spy on it with something called an LFT panel. It tells them if your liver is working hard or taking a chai break. Just kidding! But seriously, it's a blood test, don't worry.
