What meals are good for diabetics?

My father is diabetic, and we are always looking for new meal ideas that are healthy and tasty for him. It's sometimes hard to find variety. What kind of meals are generally good for diabetics to help manage their blood sugar?

Hey! Don't stress too much about it. My aunt has diabetes, and her doc always tells her to focus on whole grains, lots of veggies, and lean protein. Think dal, roti made from jowar/bajra, lots of salads, and chicken/fish. Avoid sugary stuff and refined carbs, that’s key!

Dude, for diabetics, my friend's dad just eats like, regular ghar ka khana but way less oil and no sugar at all. Lots of sabzi, dal, and roti. And he tries to eat at fixed times. No junk food at all, which is tough but good for him.

I've been reading up on this because my grandad has it. Generally, anything with low carbs and high fiber is good. Like oats, whole grains, vegetables, and lean protein sources. Avoiding processed foods and sugary drinks is also a big one.

My son has juvenile diabetes, so I've learned a lot. We focus on meals that are high in fiber and protein. Lentils, whole wheat rotis, plenty of green leafy vegetables, and lean meats. Sweet potato in moderation is fine too. Always check with their doctor or a nutritionist for proper guidance, it's very important.

From my experience and understanding, meals with a low glycemic index are very beneficial. Lots of fresh vegetables, whole grains like oats or millets, and healthy proteins. Regular small meals instead of three large ones can also help maintain stable blood sugar. And pranayama really helps manage stress, which impacts sugar levels.

Lots of fresh veggies and whole grains are your best friends! 🥦🥕🌽 Think multi-grain rotis, brown rice, and a good portion of dal or chicken. Small, frequent meals also help. Keep smiling and eating healthy! 😊

Yaar, actually for diabetics, it's all about controlling carbs and sugar. So, say no to maida, rice thoda kam. Go for brown rice, jowar/bajra rotis. Lots of sabzi, dal, and paneer/chicken are good. My uncle makes this awesome methi-mutter sabzi that's super healthy.
