What labs check kidney function?

My father has some kidney issues, and the doctor mentioned we need to monitor his kidney function. I was wondering what specific lab tests are usually done to check how well the kidneys are working?

I think it is called the KFT or Renal Function Test. My doctor wrote this test for me because of some lower back pain, and I've been so stressed about what the results will show. Has anyone else felt this kind of panic before their blood tests?

The correct tests are Serum Creatinine and Blood Urea Nitrogen, which are part of a KFT. Don't waste your time looking up home remedies or self-treating based on internet advice; get a proper lab test done and show it to a nephrologist.

Just go to any local path lab and ask for a Kidney Function Test (KFT). It is a very common test and costs around 400 rupees. It is a simple way to check your creatinine and urea levels without spending too much.

My family often suggests drinking coconut water for kidney health, but for diagnostic checking, a KFT (Kidney Function Test) is the standard method. I always recommend going to a certified lab and consulting a qualified doctor with the results.

When my daughter had a severe urinary tract infection, the doctor did a KFT to ensure her kidneys were functioning fine. It is a standard blood test checking creatinine and urea. It's a quick process, so please don't worry too much.

It is simply called a Kidney Function Test or KFT. It will check your creatinine and uric acid levels. Don't delay it, just go to a lab tomorrow morning and get it over with.
