What lab test for liver function?

My father has been feeling a bit unwell, and the doctor suggested a liver function test. I'm trying to understand what kind of test that is. What lab test is typically done for liver function?

It is called Liver Function Test, or LFT. Actually, in this test they check SGOT, SGPT, and bilirubin, ho na. It is a very common blood test so don't worry.

For the liver, a standard blood panel called LFT is done. Along with this test, practicing Kapalbhati pranayama gently every morning has helped me keep my digestion and liver healthy over the years. Do consult your doctor first.

You need to ask for a Liver Function Test (LFT) at the lab. While you wait for reports, keeping active with a simple 30-minute daily walk can do wonders for liver health, provided your doctor says it is okay for you.

I was just reading about this online yesterday! The main test is LFT, which includes bilirubin, albumin, and some enzymes. It seems pretty straightforward, just a basic blood draw at any lab.

In my 70 years, I have got many LFTs done during routine checkups. It is just a routine Liver Function Test that measures how your liver is doing. Don't worry at all, get it done from a good lab and show it to your family doctor.
