What kind of arthritis hurts when it rains?

My joints have been bothering me a lot more recently, especially when the weather changes. My dadi used to say her pain got worse with rain. Is there a specific kind of arthritis that hurts more when it rains?

Ah, beta, that's a very common complaint, especially among us older folks! Many people with osteoarthritis, and sometimes even rheumatoid arthritis, say their joints ache more when the weather changes, like when it's about to rain. The drop in barometric pressure is often blamed. You are not alone in feeling this.

I can totally relate to this! I recently had a knee issue, and the doc said it was mild arthritis. During monsoon, it would really flare up before the rain started. He explained it's due to atmospheric pressure changes. Regular exercises and warm compresses helped me a lot.

Amma always says her knees start paining when rain is coming. This is very common with general arthritis, especially osteoarthritis. The doctor also told us it is due to pressure changes. For managing pain, some gentle exercises and warm oil massages can help, but always talk to the doctor.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! It's super common for people with arthritis, especially osteoarthritis, to feel more pain when it's damp or about to rain. My Dadi always says she's a human weather forecast! Just keep your joints warm and comfy.

Ah, the old 'weather detector' joints! Most commonly, it's osteoarthritis that acts up when the barometric pressure drops before rain. My knees know it's going to rain before the weather app does. It's annoying but quite typical for many with arthritis.

Many types of arthritis, but particularly osteoarthritis, tend to cause more pain when there are changes in atmospheric pressure, like before rainfall. It's a real phenomenon, not just in your head. Keep your joints warm and consult a doctor for pain management if it's bothering you a lot.
