What kind of arm pain indicates a heart attack?

My father has been complaining about arm pain off and on, and he's quite old. I'm always worried about his heart, knowing that arm pain can be a sign. What kind of arm pain specifically should I be concerned about for a heart attack?

Oh god, this is a very serious question. My father had a scare once. They said arm pain, especially in the left arm, that spreads to the shoulder, back, neck, or jaw, often with chest pain, shortness of breath, or sweating, can be a heart attack. If you feel anything like this, don't wait even a minute, go to the hospital immediately.

Look, if there's any doubt about heart attack symptoms, don't try to self-diagnose. It's always better to be safe than sorry. If you have sudden, severe pain in your left arm, especially with chest discomfort or breathlessness, call an ambulance or get to the nearest ER. Don't risk it.

For diabetics like me, sometimes heart attack symptoms can be less obvious, even 'silent'. But typically, arm pain, often on the left, that feels like pressure or aching, combined with chest pain, dizziness, or sweating, is a red flag. Don't delay, go to the hospital immediately.

As someone with high BP, I'm always told to watch for these things. Left arm pain that feels like pressure, squeezing, or a dull ache, especially if it's accompanied by chest pain or other symptoms like sweating or nausea, can be a sign. It's an emergency, get to a doctor or hospital right away.

This question makes me so nervous! I always worry about these things. I've heard it's usually a dull ache or numbness in the left arm, sometimes spreading, and often with chest pain or a heavy feeling. Has anyone else experienced this and what did it feel like exactly?

Beta, if you have any pain in your arm, especially the left side, that feels very heavy or tight, and if your chest is hurting too, it is not a small thing. Do not wait for any home remedies. Go straight to the hospital. Life is precious.
