What joints does rheumatoid arthritis affect?

My mother has had rheumatoid arthritis for many years, and lately, her pain seems to be spreading to new places. I was wondering, which joints are commonly affected by rheumatoid arthritis? Does it typically affect certain areas more than others?

RA generally targets the smaller joints first, especially in the hands and feet, often in a symmetrical pattern. While medication is key, I've seen how reducing inflammatory foods and focusing on an anti-inflammatory diet (lots of greens, turmeric, ginger) can really help manage symptoms alongside. But diet isn't a cure.

Rheumatoid Arthritis typically affects smaller joints symmetrically, meaning both sides of the body. Think hands, wrists, and feet. Over time, it can progress to larger joints like knees, shoulders, and elbows. It's an autoimmune condition, so early diagnosis and treatment are crucial.

Rheumatoid arthritis, this is a very painful one. It mainly troubles the small joints first, like those in your fingers and hands, and your feet. And usually, it comes in both hands, not just one. For such severe pain, only doctor's medicines work. But in old times, we used to gently massage with warm castor oil for some relief, but that's just for comfort, not cure.

My chachi has RA, and it mostly affects her hands, like her knuckles and wrists. It makes simple things tough. Sometimes her knees also act up. It's an autoimmune thing, so the body attacks its own joints. Tough disease.

Haan na, Rheumatoid Arthritis usually pehle chhote joints ko pakadta hai, jaise haath ki kalai, ungliyan, aur pairon ke joints. Aur dono side mein hota hai mostly. Phir dheere dheere bade joints jaise ghutne, shoulders pe bhi aa sakta hai. Bahut dard hota hai usme.
