What is type 2 diabetes vs type 1?

My brother's doctor mentioned his blood sugar levels are borderline, and he needs to be careful not to get Type 2 diabetes. My aunt has Type 1, and it seems quite different. What exactly is the difference between Type 2 and Type 1 diabetes?

From what my doctor explained, type 1 is where the body doesn't produce insulin at all, while in type 2, the body makes it but can't use it properly. With my PCOS, I have to be so careful with insulin resistance as it can lead to type 2. Please consult a specialist to understand your own blood reports properly.

In our family, my uncle has type 1 and he has been taking insulin daily for forty years, bless him. My mother used to say drinking bitter gourd juice cured everything, but honestly, we must trust modern doctors. Type 2 can often be controlled with proper tablets, walking, and diet as per your doctor's plan.

Honestly, after staring at screens till 3 AM, my brain is fried, but I know this much. Type 1 is usually from childhood where the pancreas just quits its job, and type 2 is the lifestyle one that sneaks up on you later. Either way, both mean keeping a safe distance from those midnight gulab jamuns.

Type 1 is autoimmune, so your body just doesn't make insulin, period. Type 2 is mostly insulin resistance where your diet and daily movement play a huge role in managing it. I always tell folks in the gym that clean eating and strength training can really help manage or even prevent type 2.

I was diagnosed with borderline type 2 last year, and my sugar levels were crazy high. With type 2, your cells just ignore the insulin, but with type 1, there is no insulin at all. I managed to bring my HbA1c down to normal just last month through strict habit changes, so don't lose heart!

Bhaiyya, type 1 wala bachpan se hi hota hai aur isme roz injection lena padta hai kyunki shareer me insulin banta hi nahi. Aur type 2 humari galat khane-peene ki aadat ki wajah se umar badhne par hota hai. Bas samay par doctor babu se jaanch karwate raho, sab theek rahega.
