What is the vomiting virus?

My kids have been sick off and on with stomach bugs, mostly vomiting. My mother-in-law calls it the 'vomiting virus'. Is there an actual specific virus known as the 'vomiting virus' or is it just a general term?

There isn't one single 'vomiting virus', but typically when people say that, they mean a stomach flu or gastroenteritis caused by viruses like Norovirus or Rotavirus. It's good to be cautious. With PCOS, my body is sometimes more sensitive, so I've learned to be careful with any viral infections. Stay hydrated!

Beta, usually when we say 'ulti ka virus', it means a stomach infection. It gives you vomiting and sometimes loose motions. Just drink lots of water and ORS. But if it gets too bad, then please show a doctor, haan.

Haan, log generally stomach flu ko hi 'vomiting virus' bolte hain na? Mostly Norovirus ya Rotavirus se hota hai. Kids ko zyada hota hai. Important hai ki pani peete raho, body dehydrate na ho. Agar bahut zyada ho toh doc ke paas jao.

Don't fall for any specific 'viral' name from random internet sources. When people say 'vomiting virus', they usually mean viral gastroenteritis, caused by common viruses like norovirus. But self-diagnosing is dangerous. If you're feeling unwell, verify with a doctor, don't rely on home remedies for severe symptoms.

Beta, mostly it's a stomach bug, a viral infection that causes vomiting and loose motions. Drink lukewarm water, and have light food like rice kanji. If the vomiting is too much and you feel weak, then don't wait, go to the doctor, understand?

The 'vomiting virus'? It's the one that decides to attack precisely on the day you have a big presentation or finally planned to catch up on sleep. Usually called Norovirus or Rotavirus. It's just evil, honestly. Stay hydrated, that's all I know before I pass out from exhaustion.

Usually it's viral gastroenteritis, caused by Norovirus or Rotavirus. For mild cases, I focus on rehydration with ORS or coconut water. Ginger tea sometimes helps too. But if vomiting is persistent, high fever, or severe weakness, you MUST see a doctor. It can get serious fast.
