What is the sugar level of a diabetic?

I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and am trying to understand how to monitor my health better. My doctor told me to keep track of my sugar levels. What is considered a normal or target sugar level for a diabetic person?

The normal range for a diabetic varies a bit, but generally, fasting should be under 130 mg/dL and post-meal (2 hours) under 180 mg/dL. It's very practical to get regular check-ups and follow your doctor's exact advice for monitoring. Don't self-diagnose based on general numbers.

Beta, diabetic ka sugar level doctor hi theek se bata sakte hain. Subah khali pet aur khaane ke baad alag hota hai. Hum toh ghar mein neem ke patte aur karele ka juice bhi dete hain par doctor ki dawa sabse upar hai.

My doctor explained that for diabetics, a fasting blood sugar of 80-130 mg/dL and a post-meal (2 hours after eating) of less than 180 mg/dL are generally considered healthy targets. However, these can be individualized based on age, other health conditions, and duration of diabetes. Always discuss with your endocrinologist.

It's tricky, no? For diabetics, the target sugar levels are usually a bit higher than for non-diabetics. I know many who try cinnamon and fenugreek seeds, but honestly, nothing beats regular monitoring and doctor's advice. It's important to be practical and follow medical guidance.

I can only share what I've observed, not medical advice. For my diabetic relative, the doctors gave specific target ranges for fasting and after meals, and those numbers sometimes change. It's really best to ask their treating doctor, as it's personalized.

A diabetic's sugar level? Well, hopefully not as high as my motivation to wake up on a Monday! 😂 But seriously, it's not one fixed number. Doctors give a range, and it varies person to person. Don't stress, just consult your doc, they're the real sugar-level gurus.
