What is the strongest over the counter pain med?

My periods are usually quite painful, and sometimes the pain is unbearable. I need something strong and effective that I can just pick up from the pharmacy. Which over-the-counter pain medicine is generally considered the strongest?

Actually, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen are considered strong for inflammation, but my family doc always warns that they can irritate the stomach lining. He told me that paracetamol is much safer for general use unless a specialist prescribes something else.

Why jump to strong medicines directly and spend so much? For normal back pain or headache, a warm water bag or some good old pain relief balm works nicely. If it still hurts, just visit the local clinic for a ten-rupee tablet that the doctor suggests.

My head is spinning from lack of sleep right now, but please do not pop random high-dose pills from the chemist. The strongest thing you can safely get without a prescription is just standard Crocin, anything else is playing with fire.

Sometimes dehydration or eating too much oily food causes headaches and body pain. I try to drink lots of water and eat clean before thinking of any meds, but if you really need a painkiller, keep it light with basic paracetamol.

I am no expert, but when I had severe toothache, I just took regular paracetamol and ran to my dentist. I never experiment with strong OTC painkillers because they once gave me bad acidity.
