What is the red cancer ribbon?

I saw a red ribbon on someone's car and they said it's for cancer awareness. What exactly does the red cancer ribbon symbolize?

When we were consulting at Apollo for my uncle, I saw these ribbons everywhere. Honestly, instead of guessing what awareness month or type it is, just ask your doctor or the hospital staff clearly. They have brochures that explain these symbol systems perfectly.

I got so confused about this color coding. I saw a red ribbon on a brochure and immediately got scared thinking it meant some rare blood disease, does anyone else get super anxious seeing these symbols? Wish they just wrote the name in plain English.

Hey, don't stress too much about the ribbons and symbols! It is mostly used for blood cancer or HIV awareness campaigns to show solidarity. Unless it's for some specific hospital paperwork you are filling, you don't need to overthink it.

Red is typically for blood cancers like leukemia or lymphoma, but keep in mind that the red ribbon is also universally used for HIV/AIDS awareness. Don't mix up the two. It depends on the context of the medical camp or hospital you are visiting.

Actually red ribbon dekh ke sabko AIDS hi yaad aata hai pehle, but blood cancer awareness ke liye bhi use hota hai yaar. Basically it's just to show support. Google pe search karke dimaag kharab mat karo, context dekh liya karo.

Beta, red ribbon toh humare yahan HIV AIDS ke liye zyada lagate hain, par cancer mein blood cancer ya fir kisi aur ke liye bhi use karte hain. Bhagwan sabko achhi sehat de. Agar kisi rishtedar ke liye pooch rahe ho toh himmat rakhna, sab theek hoga.
