What is the purpose of the thyroid gland?

My neighbour has been having a lot of problems because of her thyroid. It makes me wonder, what is the actual purpose of the thyroid gland in our body?

My fitness tracker actually gives some insights into metabolic rate, and that's directly influenced by your thyroid hormones. Basically, it controls how your body uses energy, affecting weight, heart rate, and even body temperature. Pretty amazing how one small gland does so much!

Oh, the thyroid! I always get so worried about everything related to health. But from what I've understood, it's super important for our energy levels and metabolism. It literally affects so many things, makes you think about how delicate our bodies are.

Honestly, I only properly understood its function when my friend was diagnosed with thyroid issues. It's like the body's main manager for energy and growth. It releases hormones that tell your body how to do things like process food and regulate temperature. So, very important!

Dekho bhai, thyroid ka kaam hai body ko theek se chalana. Jo hormones nikalta hai, usse digestion, energy, sab control hota hai. Agar gadbad ho, toh sab kuch slow ya fast ho jaata hai. Simple funda hai.

The thyroid gland, located at the throat chakra, is responsible for regulating our metabolic fire, our 'agni'. When it functions well, there is balance in energy and vitality. Gentle neck stretches and a calm mind can support its natural flow.
