What is the proper way to sleep?

I've been having a lot of neck and back pain lately, and I think my sleeping position might be making it worse. Is there a proper way to sleep that can help prevent these issues?

Sleeping on your left side, also known as Vamkukshi in Ayurveda, is very beneficial for digestion. Try to keep your head towards the South or East direction for better energy flow.

I used to worry so much about my sleeping posture causing back pain. Honestly, just sleeping on my side with a small cushion between my knees helped me sleep perfectly normal again.

At my age, any way I sleep ends up with some joint making a sound in the morning! But seriously, a firm mattress and a thin pillow for my neck have saved me from daily body aches.

I used to sleep on my stomach and wake up with a stiff neck every day. Switching to sleeping on my back with a supportive pillow under my knees worked best for me.

According to my fitness tracker data, my deep sleep is highest when I sleep on my side. Try keeping your room cool and avoiding screen time for an hour before bedtime.
