What is the neuropathy pain?

My mother has been complaining about a strange tingling and burning pain in her feet and hands lately. The doctor said it might be 'neuropathy'. I'm not familiar with this term. What exactly is neuropathy pain?

Neuropathy pain is a burning or tingling sensation caused by nerve damage, often in the feet or hands. I find that regular light walks and calf stretches help improve circulation, provided your doctor clears you for physical activity.

It is basically nerve pain that feels like electric shocks, burning, or pins and needles, often due to high sugar levels. Don't worry, it is very manageable with the right nerve vitamins and care. Please consult a neurologist to get some relief.

Is it like a constant burning and numbness in the toes? I have been feeling this weird tingling lately and it makes me so anxious that I can't sleep. Does anyone else get this, and how did you diagnose it?
